Note: Scott Bibus and Sarina Brewer have statements upon their websites declaring that no animals were killed for the purpose of their taxidermia and list their sources of material. It is claimed that Walter Potter also did not have animals killed for use in his tableaux, however as he worked in the Victorian era, it is difficult to verify that fact. Stuffed animals are a matter for the viewer's individual tastes, but from a moral perspective this blog would not knowingly post any taxidermia or associated art, where live animals had been deliberately harmed to produce the work.
