My first encounters with imaginative art as a very small child came via comics. In later life with fond recall I remembered them, but going back to view again can be dissapointing as some things are better in nostalgic reverie than to experience again. However I was pleased to find that some of my favourites still retained a magical charm, and it was then that I discovered that my favourites as a child were all the creations of two individuals, Leo Baxendale and the late Ken Reid, a selection of the latter's work is shown here.
