Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571 -1610)

Killed Ranuccio Tomassoni, a gmbler and pimp, whom died as a result from an injury inflicted by Caravaggio during a sword duel.

Richard Dadd (1817 -1886)

Murdered his father in a blade attack, whilst believing to be following the orders of the god Osisris and identifying his father as the Devil.  Continued to paint whilst incarcerated

in both Bethlem (Bedlam) and Broadmoor.

William Burroughs

William S. Burroughs (1914 -1997)

Convicted of manslaughter of his wife, Joan Vollmer. Burroughs shot her in the head, apparently unintentionally whilst playing a drunken game of 'William Tell'.

Eadweard J. Muybridge (1830 -1904)

Shot dead the lover of his wife.

Benvenuto Cellini (1500 -1571)

Murdered the killer of his brother in an act of revenge

Harry Horse (1960 -2007)

Tragically, Horse (real name Richard Horne) was found dead cradling the body of his wife Mandy (who suffered from terminal MS) - he had stbeed her to death before killing the family pets and then turning the knife upon himself.
